i had the honor of traveling to new york city last week and participating in the amsale trunk show at the wedding library. it was such a treat to visit new york and get to meet all the lovely ladies at the wedding library.
this is me outside of the beautiful wedding library townhouse on the upper east side…
here are a few shots of my display of wedding garters…
i had a few people throughout the weekend comment on the polka dot boxes that i used to display the wedding garters. they are nesting boxes that all fit together perfectly, which was ideal for traveling up to new york on the train. i got the boxes at the preppy palm in avalon, nj. i was shopping for some summer dresses (actually, i got the black one i'm wearing the first picture there) and i saw these boxes in the back near the play area where my daughter was making herself comfortable. i thought they would be great and easy to travel with and they were! since i wasn't sure what my display area would be like or what exactly i was going to do, the boxes were ideal because i had a lot of flexibilty and was able to fill them, flip them over or use the lids. i had a lot of options, so they worked out perfectly!
i couldn't show up to the wedding library empty handed, so i hand embroidered a wedding garter for them with their logo. check it out…
this custom designed wedding garter is silver satin with a blue grosgrain stripe. i hand embroidered the wedding library logo in white. it is 1.5 inches wide.
needless to say, it was a great weekend! i'm so thankful to the wedding library for hosting me and for including me in on such an awesome weekend. (and i am thankful, of course, to my husband for letting me sneak away for a few days!)
