Congrats! You're out with your friends, family and bridesmaids wedding dress shopping and you did a big thing - you said yes to your wedding dress! This is so exciting! Now, it's time to share the good news with your bridal party, friends and family who couldn't be there with you on Instagram. Wedding dress shopping can be challenging. You go from store to store to store trying on dress after dress after dress hoping for the right one. That's why when you do, it's something to be celebrated!
Of course, not every bride has a hard time finding her dream dress. There are lots of brides who walk into a dress boutique and the first one they try on is "the one." Maybe they've had their eye on a dress for months, so when they get into the shop to try it on for the first time, they know.
Either way you find your perfect dress, it's true what they say - when you know, you just know!
There are thousands of wedding dress options out there, and the fact that you said YES to the one that you're going to walk down the aisle in is a huge deal.

To use any of The Garter Girl's free "I said yes to the dress" Instagram post graphics you can save the graphic that you love to your phone, or you can screen shot the graphic that you want to use.
If you screen shot the graphic, you can edit and cut it out around the edges to make it square for the Instagram post, or you can put it in Instagram directly and center it so that the graphic is in the middle.
There are 8 different dress posts for you to use, including a plain "I said yes to the dress" graphic and graphics that say "Finally," "I did a thing," "Pop the bubbles," "Someone pinch me," "It's official now," "It just got real," "Cue the happy tears."
Which graphic will you post?
Simply find the one that you want and post it on your Instagram! Don't forget to use the hashtag #isaidyestothedress and tag us at @thegartergirl - we'd love to celebrate with you!
And give a shout out to where you found your dress any anyone else that came with you to find your dress.
We don't know about you, but most brides that we've talked to end up with a wedding dress that they were not expecting. They walk into the bridal dress shop with one dress style in mind and once they try it on, they end up purchasing a dress that's completely different than what they originally thought.
This is why it's so important to keep and open mind when you're dress shopping. And you need to listen to (and trust!) your dress shop consultant. They know the dresses in their shop and they usually can pick you out a dress that you weren't thinking you'd love, but once you try it on, it's a dress dress!
