I loved working with the bride to hand make her personalized wedding garter and handkerchief heirlooms from her grandmother's wedding dress lace. Her beautiful wedding garter was made with ivory lace from the grandmother's dress detailed with a short "something blue" satin bow. To finish her heirloom garter, I added a button from the bride's grandmother's wedding dress in the center of the bow. Also, I made her a scalloped-edge ivory cotton handkerchief with additional lace details from the bride's mother's wedding dress.
