Are you wondering how to merge the bride's mother's and her grandmother's wedding dresses into a beautiful heirloom to cherish?
I loved working with the bride to hand make her a personalized wedding garter heirloom. Her beautiful wedding garter was made with organza wedding dress fabric, ivory tulle, pink silk detailed with a short ivory satin bow. The material for the garter was from the bride's mother's wedding dress and I added pink silk and buttons also from from the bride's mother, and tulle from grandmother's wedding dress. On the inside of her heirloom garter, I hand embroidered the bride's wedding date and initials in a monogram in pink thread to match the heirloom satin and to add a touch of personalization.
