I recently had the pleasure of designing a few wedding garters to go with a winter wedding inspiration that the ladies at Infatuating Affairs were coordinating in the Washington DC area. Their wedding design inspiration was very elegant and sophisticated! It was everything that you think of for a winter wedding that is cozy and romantic, but also very luxurious. Here are the custom wedding garters that I designed…
Their original wedding inspiration board featured loads of lace, deep, rich reds (a totally amazing dark burgundy groom's dinner jacket!), off set with touches of a pale ice blue and soft pink. It was so luxurious and elegant that I designed and hand made three different wedding garters to coordinate with their inspiration. Sometimes I get started and I can't stop!
Using the picture above, I'll describe the bridal garters. At the top, is a dark burgundy background with a light pink satin bow and a stripe of ivory lace. In the middle is an ivory satin background, a maroon satin stripe, a stripe of ivory velvet and a light blue center tied bow. The bottom garter is an ivory satin background with a stripe of burgundy satin and a stripe of ivory lace.
Super special thanks to Washington DC wedding planners Infatuating Affairs for letting me take part in this special, winter wedding inspiration. I can't wait to see (and share!) the photos!
