There are certain wedding trends that come and go and there are ones that stick around for a long time! The marbling trend in weddings started popping up a few years ago in details like invitation liners, and it is still lingering and having a major impact on wedding details like desserts, cakes and invitations. I, for one, love the marbling effect for anything, but especially for weddings. The marble effect elevates the design and makes anything instantly look more special. I received an invitation recently and it was on the most stunning marbled paper.
After I happily RSVP'd to the event, I couldn't throw the invitation away! (Is anyone else like that? I have a whole draw full of wedding invitations that I can't throw away!) I immediately got a few of my something blue wedding garters and snapped a few photos. The light was amazing that day and I took a few more of the marbled paper with my charming wedding garter style and my pretty wedding garter style. The blue and the ivory of the wedding garter went so well with the hot pink and the gold in the marbled invitation. The effect was amazing and so modern!
