Before we get to the inspiration, I wanted to give you a few tips for having a backyard wedding at home. Because, at first it can seem all so easy and then can spin out of control very fast and to-do's piles up and all of a sudden your super simple backyard wedding at home, just got way more complicated than you bargained for!
Tip #1 - Plan
Plan and then plan again. And when you're done planning, plan some more. Getting married at home is all about the planning. Plan how it all all going to work, from start to finish, beginning to end. Plan everything out.
Tip #2 - Get Help
Hire some help. If you can at all find room in the budget, hire a wedding planning. You're really going to want someone who is there to help, but not a friend or family member. They will walk you through everything and take care of all those little "details" about getting married at home they you'd never know about.
Tip #3 - Simple Is Best
Keep it simple. One of the reasons to get married at home, besides the lack of ability and confusion over large gatherings these days, is to keep things simple. So, don't forget to do that! It can be really easy to start adding in all the things, but just always remember that simple is best when getting married at home in your backyard.
Tip #4 - Think Logistics
Think through the logistics. Your house and your backyard are most likely not get up for larger groups and the type of logistics that you'll need to have a wedding at home. Really think through all the logistical questions, like where will guests park, where will they use the bathroom (do we have enough toilet paper!), do we have lights for when the sun goes down, how about speakers for the music, what happens if it gets too load and the neighbors complain - think through as many logistics as you can for your backyard wedding at home.
With love,
