Garter: Made From Neck Tie With White Lace

If you are looking for a meaningful way to incorporate a special necktie into your wedding day, this personalized bridal garter set is a beautiful example of how sentimental fabric can become a one of a kind wedding keepsake.

I handmade the bride’s keepsake garter using fabric from a navy blue and white patterned necktie. Delicate white lace was layered over the necktie fabric, allowing the darker pattern to peek through while giving the garter a romantic bridal look. A classic white satin bow completed the design.

On the inside, I hand embroidered the couple’s initials and wedding date in gray thread. This hidden personalization transformed the garter into an heirloom created especially for the couple and their wedding day.

I also made a coordinating tossing garter with gathered white fabric and a white satin bow. Together, the two pieces created a custom wedding garter set that felt both sentimental and timeless.
