Bridal showers are at all different times of the day and sometimes they are co-ed showers too, so it can be hard to know what to wear. If you're looking for just the right outfit for a bridal shower or a co-ed shower, you're in luck because we did the shopping for you.
Enjoy shopping for your bridal shower!
Shopping for the perfect bridal shower dress shouldn't be stressful. Follow these tips to help you!
1 - Choose something you are comfortable in!
Selecting a bridal shower dress style doesn't mean you're stuck to a formal cocktail dress or elegant lace. Choose a style that's comfortable for you. If you're looking forward to your bridal shower to show off a chic style and feel a bit 'va-va-voom', do it! But if you prefer to be in cotton, choose cotton!
If you're the bride-to-be, you'll be the center of attention at the shower, like it or not, so it is of up-most importance that you feel comfortable. All eyes will be on you anyway, so you want to be feeling your best and most confident self. This is why choosing an outfit for the bridal shower that you feel your best in is so important.
2 - Bridal shower outfit rules
What are the rules for bridal shower outfits? Well...the rule is there are no rules! There may be some traditional bridal shower outfit options, of course, but you should only follow the rules if you feel comfortable. You probably already know that we tell you don't feel stuck to 'rules' when it comes to planning your wedding and all of the wedding events and activities!
We love the traditional white dresses for bridal showers but don't feel 'tied' to white. Choosing something with floral designs on white are great, too! Or, opt for a dress in your wedding colors! But, most of all, opt for an outfit that makes you feel comfortable and confident.
3 - Consider the venue and the shower's theme
Depending on the bridal shower's theme and the venue where it's being held you may feel pulled towards a certain direction when it comes to your attire for the big event. For example, an outdoor bridal shower at a winery may mean you'll opt for a boho dress. Or an evening co-ed shower, you might feel comfortable in more a cocktail dress or a fancy top and pants.
Also, if there is a special activity during your bridal shower, be sure to dress appropriately! Are you visiting breweries where there will be outdoor activities? Or perhaps you'll be enjoying a traditional high tea? Dress for the occasion!
With love,
The Garter Girl
