I designed this custom wedding garter for a very special bride. Rebekah and Pete, survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing, were just married recently in North Carolina as part of The Knot's Dream Wedding. The readers of The Knot choose a ruffled wedding cake for the couple, so for her wedding garter, I had ruffles on the brain. It is all ivory, except for the "something blue" hand embroidery on the inside. The main garter is an ivory satin background with layers of ivory lace with an ivory satin bow. The tossing garter is a simple ivory satin with an ivory satin center-tied bow. I can't thank their wedding planner, Marcy Blum, for letting make this gorgeous garter for such a gorgeous bride – inside and out!
