This has absolutely nothing and I mean nothing to do with wedding garters, BUT it is sort of DIY and wedding related! (Plus, I had to create a web link for it, so I thought I’d do a blog post about it in a case any of you out there need a simple auction item for a school.) I needed to do an art project using the children in my son’s Pre-K class that would be auctioned off to raise money for his school. I put my wedding blogger hat on and turned the thumbprint guest books that you see all over weddings into an art project for the kids. It was easy, quick, not very messy and very affordable!
Over on my DC area wedding blog, United With Love, we created a free printable of thumbprint wedding book using the Washington DC skyline. I changed it up and added the school’s name and the year and then had the kids do their thumbprints. I popped it into a frame and we are done! Cross your fingers it raises lots ‘o money for his school!
