Real Wedding Garter: Eco-Friendly & Something Blue

Real Wedding Garter: Eco-Friendly & Something Blue

I was so honored to be a part of Virdina and Kevin's eco-friendly and fabulous Earth Day wedding affair! They were the lucky winners of the D.C. Green Wedding Consortium's $50,000 wedding giveaway.

I designed Virdina a simple and beautiful something blue environmentally friendly wedding garter with a pretty bow on it. It is a white grosgrain modern wedding garter with a navy blue grosgrain bow. The grosgrain material used in the garter is made from recycled plastic bottles.

Pretty eco-fabulous, huh??

I just love that photo of Kevin holding his new wife's garter! I was telling Andrea, owner of The Observatory and the one who took these amazing garter pictures, that in all the years I've been designing stylish wedding garters, no one has ever taken a picture of the groom holding the wedding garter, much less made it so beautiful!

Congrats to Virdina and Kevin! I wish you all the best!

Special thanks to Katie Martin from Elegance & Simplicity and the rest of the green wedding consortium for putting the Earth Day wedding together, and to The Observatory for sharing such great pictures!
